My card of the day for 5th February is the 6 of Discs, which I have drawn from Cilla Conway’s Intuitive Tarot.
The 6 of Discs is a confusing card and it can be extremely ambiguous in a reading. The accepted advice would usually be to look at the other cards in the reading to gauge the appropriate interpretation of this card; which is not good for a single card of the day.
The thing is, when I was shuffling the deck the 5 of Discs jumped into my hand; pretty much as it did yesterday. This has never happened to me before, but I think that it is significant. This is a card that may indicate submission and domination, love and hate, generosity and greed; not as opposites, but as equals. In yesterday’s card of the day I used the phrase ‘maybe even that you deserve nothing better’ and I wonder if the 6 of Discs could have latched on to this to suggest that you may need to consider who you really are as you move forward. I still believe that you deserve good things and that you could benefit greatly from deciding who you want to be as you move along your path; but I think that the 6 may be cautioning you towards care and understanding of how your movements could affect everyone around you.
This could be a day to grasp the nettle; to realise that everything we do can have an affect on others that may not be what we intended at all. Yes, the indications could be that you will experience change; but I think that the combination of the 5 and the 6 may suggest that you could want to consider two things:
If you are to stride confidently into your future you should be aware of how this newfound confidence could affect not only you but also those around you.
If you feel that you need support to take your journey forward, perhaps you may need to consider whether accepting that support could be self-destructive.
The choices, as always, are yours. The 5 of Discs may be saying that you deserve, and can achieve, good things but the 6 may be indicating caution and an awareness of what could be the effects of how you proceed.
I suggest that you may want to take another day or so to consider your options.
