King of Rods

My card of the day for 26th February is the King of Rods which I have taken from the Intuitive Tarot by Cilla Conway.

The King of Rods is bold and full of energy; he knows where he has come from and he sits comfortably with where he is now.  He is the kind of figure that many of us aspire to be; but he can also represent the kind of figure that some of us may have allowed to take control of our lives.  This card can be mainly about learning from past choices, about understanding what limits us and about using our experiences to move us on rather than allowing ourselves to be held back; but he can also be about control, domination and bondage.

This king could be saying “go on, it’s your time; get on with it” but he could also be saying “just who do you think you are?”

Today is your day to choose whether you could be a go-getter who could achieve what you want to in life or whether you could be someone who feels unable to move forward because you may have allowed someone into your life who doesn’t want you to be anything more than you currently are.

Today could truly be the first day of the rest of your life; but how it pans out may be entirely up to you.  If you are free and able to make your own decisions you could begin to understand just what you could achieve if you set your mind to it;  if you are in a situation where you feel that you have little or no control over your own destiny then today could be your day to try to put plans in place that could allow you to break free and to become your own person.  Be bold, make plans and follow your dreams but remember to take care of yourself at all times; careful planning and a steady hand could be needed to guide you.
