My card of the day for 27th February is the 8 of Discs which I have taken from Cilla Conway’s Intuitive Tarot.
This is a card of discipline and knowledge which can bring with it the suggestion that now is your time; time to get on with a project that you may have been putting off, time to pay more attention to work or relationships or time to persevere with something that you have been trying to achieve.
It is a card that can promise much; but it can also be a card that could be saying that you need to help yourself before you can make the changes that you may have been planning. Like so many of the other cards this month, the 8 of Discs can be about change, about doing what is best for yourself and about taking time to make things better where this is still an option or perhaps considering a complete change of direction where it isn’t.
Today you could need to be clear about where you are and where you think that you need to be; it could be about recognising that, in some areas of your life, you may be finding things too easy and that you could simply be bored. But the 8 of Discs may also be supporting some of this month’s other messages in that it could be time for you to move up a gear and to recognise what it is that truly motivates you.
Today could also be a day to explore now horizons, to register for a class of some kind and to make some effort to increase your knowledge of the world around you. It could be the day when you recognise that you have potential and should grab this with both hands.
My card of the day for 26th February is the King of Rods which I have taken from the Intuitive Tarot by Cilla Conway.
The King of Rods is bold and full of energy; he knows where he has come from and he sits comfortably with where he is now. He is the kind of figure that many of us aspire to be; but he can also represent the kind of figure that some of us may have allowed to take control of our lives. This card can be mainly about learning from past choices, about understanding what limits us and about using our experiences to move us on rather than allowing ourselves to be held back; but he can also be about control, domination and bondage.
This king could be saying “go on, it’s your time; get on with it” but he could also be saying “just who do you think you are?”
Today is your day to choose whether you could be a go-getter who could achieve what you want to in life or whether you could be someone who feels unable to move forward because you may have allowed someone into your life who doesn’t want you to be anything more than you currently are.
Today could truly be the first day of the rest of your life; but how it pans out may be entirely up to you. If you are free and able to make your own decisions you could begin to understand just what you could achieve if you set your mind to it; if you are in a situation where you feel that you have little or no control over your own destiny then today could be your day to try to put plans in place that could allow you to break free and to become your own person. Be bold, make plans and follow your dreams but remember to take care of yourself at all times; careful planning and a steady hand could be needed to guide you.
My card of the day for 25th February is the Queen of Swords which I have taken from my very first serious tarot deck and for which I can’t find any reasonable illustrations. The image I’m using to illustrate my reading is similar.
The Queen of Swords tends towards directness, openness, and straightforwardness. She is typically someone who can think on her feet and who is realistic about which battles are worth fighting. The position of the image within tarot cards can be of great importance; in some decks this queen is shown face on which is said to relate to the present. But in others she is shown looking either to the left (the past) or to the right (the future).
However she is seated, the Queen of Swords’ message is the same; the only thing that may change is whether you could be facing issues right now, whether they may still be to come or whether you could have battled your way through and are now ready to move on.
The queen in this deck is facing to the left and so could be suggesting that you may want to consider what effect your past actions or decisions may have had on you.
Today could be the day to recognise how far you have come and how much you have achieved; but, it could also be the day to recognise what may have driven you to where you are now and what this could have cost you. It is all very well to be upfront, direct and straightforward; but has this caused pain and hurt to people around you who did not deserve it?
Today is not necessarily a day for self-praise; but it could be a day for a bit of self-analysis and for, perhaps, making amends with someone who you may not have intended to be caught up in any crossfire from some of your decisions.
